The official language of Tunisia is Arabic. French is practiced and understood by the majority of Tunisians. In tourist areas, English, German, Italian and Spanish are commonly practiced.

Exchange is possible in banks, hotels and airports.

Credit cards are accepted in major establishments.


The GSM network covers the entire Tunisian territory.

It is possible to purchase a SIM card with local operators or to use your usual number if the roaming service is activated previously.


Tunisia is practically sunny all year round.

In Monastir:

  • Summer is hot, but pleasant thanks to the sea breeze.
  • Spring and autumn are mild.
  • Winter is cool, wet but mostly sunny during the day.


No vaccinations are necessary before traveling to Tunisia. No health risk.
